Typical duties
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working with the hardware and software teams to design and implement creative and innovative solutions to problems across a range of diverse cutting-edge and progressive technologies. Your main responsibility as a team member will be to support the design, prototyping, and ongoing engineering efforts of the company through all aspects of a product’s cycle, from initial concept to full manufacturing.

· Reading schematics and using oscilloscopes
· Compiling, debugging and bringing-up ARM/Cortex-M processors

· Embedded microcontroller firmware development experience
· Skilled in C/C++ programming, assembly & source code repositories
· Strong debug skills
· Skilled in C# programming. Experience working with WPF an asset
Position Description
· Working with cross-functional teams to define the firmware architecture
· Documenting Firmware & creating flow charts to visualize functionality
· Assist the hardware teams with hardware selection, hardware and platform bring-up and all aspects of hardware debug
· Rapid prototyping code to test ideas, developing tools to assist hardware engineers, firmware for manufacturing validation and functional testers
· Work with team leads in implementing various algorithms, performance and resource optimizations into small footprint MCU platforms
· QA, data entry, documentation and report writing on a variety of activities including quantifying performance improvements
· Work within a small tech start-up venture capital backed environment
· Take on complex problems with significant autonomy and responsibility
