ORLANDO, FL, InfoComm, Orange County Convention Centre, Booth 5742 – BaantoTM International Ltd., the innovators of ShadowSenseTM touch technology, announced today that they have expanded their product line to include three new offerings to address the growing demand for their high performing touch technology.
The new products: the Modular Touch System, the 98” Multi-Touch Frame, and the Slim Touch, all leverage patented ShadowSense technology to provide an unparalleled touch experience. The many features that users have come to expect from ShadowSense such as advanced touch recognition and rejection, high ambient light immunity and customization through the Baanto Dashboard, will all be standard features of each product.
“There is a need for high performance touch solutions that are reliable and can function in diverse environments,” said Avanindra Utukuri, CTO and Executive Chairman of Baanto. “ShadowSense provides a comprehensive solution whether the needs are large or small. With the release of these new products, customers will have better options when it comes to implementing touch into their application. Whether it’s an in-vehicle infotainment system or a massive video display wall, ShadowSense provides the most responsive and robust solution in the industry.”
Modular Touch System
The Modular Touch System provides multi-touch capabilities to video walls composed of common 46” and 55” thin bezel displays, as well as fine pitch and high brightness LED panels. The inventive design of the Modular Touch System allows frames of any size to be assembled by combining small manageable pieces together using just one tool. It solves the many installation and servicing issues that plague other products on the market, making it more economical and efficient to build large interactive display walls. The Modular Touch System is geared towards command and control, broadcast studio, museum, corporate lobby, large retail, stadium/arena and rental applications.
98” Multi-Touch Conferencing and Collaboration Solution
The SDW-989 is a 98.9” frame designed specifically to complement the popular 98” 4K displays being used within the digital signage, corporate and education markets. The monolithic frame is developed from a brand new architecture that increases the number of sensors on a frame from 6 to 8. This change will enable frames of even larger sizes to be engineered while maintaining the high performance characteristics that customers have come to expect from ShadowSense technology. It also lays the groundwork for more touches to be added to the system, without sacrificing the touch experience.
Measuring just 3.2 mm from glass to frame surface, the Slim Touch is the thinnest multi-touch frame on the market. Combining the industry proven performance of ShadowSense with a minimalist bezel design allows the Slim Touch to be utilized in multi-touch applications typically exclusive to projective capacitive technology. In addition to the elegant design, the ability to recognize gloved touches, ignore screen contaminants such as grease and debris, and function in high moisture environments, are some of the features that separate it from other touch technologies. The Slim Touch family of products is targeted at automotive, industrial and healthcare applications.
